The Last Dragon is out and from the feedback, people like it. I still need reviews because Amazon displays books to potential buyers based on sales and good reviews. I have not pursued that as much as I should. My beta readers found plenty to correct and they deserve far more credit than they get. Because of them, the horse now has the same name throughout the book, many awkward sentences and typos are missing, and the book is far better. Find the book by going to Amazon and typing my name. The second book in the series was coming along through five chapters . . . then I hit a pivotal problem to resolve and haven't quite figured out how to do it. One takes the book in a direction over there, the other a different one. The problem is, it will change the entire book and perhaps another after this one. So I quit writing the book and moved to a science fiction story I've thought about for some time. After a couple of chapters of working on it, I figured out the answer to The La...

In a time when dragons are thought to be a myth, Damon finds that there may be one remaining, one last great secret. The answers lie at the other end of Dire. However, there is more than distance and the possibility of a dragon, there is also a king who cannot rule, people who are hiding the truth, and others who use their powers for personal gain. The story twists and turns, never taking the reader where expected, and it does so with sharp wit and compassion.

If you're one of my beta readers, or want to be one (msg me), The Last Dragon is done. Get ready because in a week or so, I'll send you the revised manuscript for your excellent input. The new cover is finished (version 10) and really nice. We've been issuing new covers for nine other of my books, and all look so much better! The Mage's Daughter is going to be on Audible, maybe the entire series.

Cold Knights is getting rave reviews and terrific emails so far. Any help with a review left on Amazon for me is appreciated. Sales are not as good as I had hoped, but are picking up. Thanks to my beta readers, the next book, (with a dragon) is coming along very well. Good setup, plot, and wry humor. We can't seem to get the cover just right, but each try is an improvement. People ask, "What books do you read?" and I thought I'd make a short list. The Name of the Wind is the best, and on my Kindle now are the Alex Carew series, Ancient Shores, Al Clark Avalon, and The Rooster Bar. In other words, I read about anything with imagination and good writing. Within two weeks I hope to have a revised copy of The Last Dragon out to beta readers, and we'll see where it goes from there. Assuming there are not too many errors, it should be released near the end of Feb.

Anybody interested in being a beta reader (proofreading books prior to publishing and offering comments, corrections, additions, deletions, and suggestions for improving) message or email me. I can use one or two more. That said, I need to credit those I already have! They did such an amazing job on the last book that I one last person I had to try and find errors only found two extremely minor things. It makes me feel much better to put out a product that is near error-free. Next up is a few thoughts on my new project because many have asked about this process. It is the first of a series, about a dragon. From there, I had to develop a main character, and a side-kick to talk to. Then . . . I built and rejected a dozen possible "worlds" and finally created one readers would like. Then I modified it another dozen times, and finally expanded it. I drew a map. Placed a river on it. And a sea. I gave the main character a personality and a job. Would he or she be kind, ornery, t...

My newest book, Cold Knights is available through Amazon Kindle. While I have not made the usual notifications yet, having completed it gives me that warm feeling of accomplishment. In my opinion, this is my best book (other than the next one I'm writing). I allowed a little more humor to slip in and the story takes the reader in one direction, then changes. Below is the cover my wife made, and I think it perfectly draws readers to it.

Halfway through December 2017 and I have just finished the draft of Cold Knights. Now comes the hard part. Editing and Rewriting. Then I will send it to my beta readers and if they don't want me to change too much, I can get ready to publish it. The cover is done, thanks to my wife, and I'll post it below because I like it so much.
